The famous Italian car manufacturer, founded in 1930s, has been creating sports car incredibly beautiful and powerful, icons of style and luxury.
In 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa is born, a car that dominates all the competitions during that period and that has a unique powertrain with a special red painted cylinder head. Only 37 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa's were created, and the fourth of them was auctioned in 2009 for € 9.020.000.

At the end of 1990s in Italy a sailing team, sponsored by Prada and business man Patrizio Bertelli, is born. Its name is Luna Rossa (meaning "red moon").The team goes for the challenge of Louis Vuitton Cup in Auckland, New Zealand, with a very beautiful and fast boat, soon nicknamed "silver bullet".
Luna Rossa wins many races and defeats all the challengers including the team of Paul Cayard, the U.S. skipper, winning the opportunity to defeat the New Zealand team, holder of the America's Cup.

The big success of the sailing team gives Prada the idea of a new fashion division, called Linea Rossa (red line) designing a collection of sport and casual accessories and clothes.
The famous italian designer has always been celebrating the colour red, creating beautiful and elegant dresses, using a shade of red tones mixed with vermilion which became the symbol of the maison.

On the 45th anniversary of the brand, Valentino announced his retirement from the scene. As a homage to his genius, the city of Rome illuminated in red the Coliseum.

Il celebre stilista italiano ha da sempre celebrato il colore rosso, realizzando abiti magnifici ed eleganti, utilizzando una tonalità di rosso molto accesa mescolata a toni vermiglio, che è diventata il simbolo della maison.
In occasione del 45° anniversario della sua maison, Valentino si è ritirato dalle scene. La città di Roma ha voluto rendere omaggio al genio dell'alta moda, illuminando di rosso il Colosseo.
